October INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL Month "Challenge" & Parking Reminders!

Good day Wildcats!

We've noticed many of our Wildcat parents using the Staff Parking Lot to drop off their children in the morning and afterschool.  This is not allowed.  As we've shared in the past, we ask that you use the parking lot in between St. John/St. James/Church or, any of the neighbouring streets.  Because of all of our students walking and for student safety, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE STAFF PARKING LOT AT THE SIDE OF OUR SCHOOL.  We really appreciate your support with this.

On that note, St. John is consider a "walking school" as we only have 2 buses that transport children.  Moreover, October is INTERNATIONAL WALK TO SCHOOL Month!  We have registered our school for the challenge and to win a P-R-I-Z-E for our school!

What is our GOAL?

Every Friday in October (8, 15, 22, 29) we want 300+ Wildcats "walking, running, scootering or biking" to school. Teachers will survey the class on these days to do a count!  Let's teach our children the importance of exercise for our physical and mental health.  And us much as possible, encourage our children to walk to school with an adult depending on their age, or in groups for safety...

Can we do this?  Yes, we can!!!

Thank you Wildcat Families!!!
